Recommendation Resources
My collection of recommendations is really small and there's really a whole world of reccing out there, just not a lot in the small fandoms I'm in. I've collected some Final Fantasy rec resources here for further browsing.
ff_recs: I sort of accidently stumbled into owning this community; I don't actually do much with it, just make sure it doesn't get spammed and the tags stay up to date so people can find things. Not very active, although some things crop up now and again.
thebaconfat posts recs on her livejournal, and also keeps a list of them at http://baconfat.mechapencil.net/ficrecs.htm. Posts lots of Final Fantasy VIII recs.
tomomichi is a multi-fandom recommender who often features recs from Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X and XII, both fic and art; the art is mostly of the Japanese variety, and her skill in finding the best sites is awesome. Really thoughtful recs, and her website is organized gorgeously and an awesome resource, even beyond Final Fantasy and on into anime and manga.
ff_press has a recommendation section. For recs before July 2007, you'll have to browse back by issue, which is unfortunate, but now the newsletter is being archived on del.icio.us and any rec posts can be found under the appropriate tag at http://del.icio.us/ff_press/recs.
What Fandom Recommends is a ff_press sponsored recommendation collection project, keeping a masterlist of all the stories the Final Fantasy fandom thinks are the best.
