Broken Link Policy
Nothing can last forever; not even on the internet. So as this rec site grows, there will probably be broken links. This is unfortunate and inevitable. As a user of lots of recommendation sites, this is what I do:
- Google the title of the art/story in quotes: "Story Title".
- Google the author's name in quotes: "Author".
That's how I do it, and I usually get lucky, because the person has simply moved their work. If this doesn't work for you and you can't find something, e-mail me and I'll see if I can't help you locate a copy with my Google-Fu or shady fandom connections.
If you find a copy of a story by googling, and my link is broken, I would be very happy if you would drop me a line and let me know so I could update it.
Otherwise, even if a story is gone, my rec stays up. It was my reaction to something I liked, and it's part of my fandom history — anyway, it might have just moved. Leaving my recs up gives people the chance to google for it, I always say.
