This is how I picture Baralai and Gippal together — teammates, friends, with their hearts in the sky. (Baralai/Gippal)

Give me Baralai, Gippal, and kissing, and I am a happy camper. I love these boys so much, and dior_anghel is fast becoming one of my favorite writers of it (this is code word for: we should all convince her to write more). (Baralai/Gippal)

Susan keeps saying, "I can't write mantouching, I can't!" but upon reading this I began my campaign of disagreeing at every opportunity. And okay, really, the mantouching is supposed to be the point but the meta-commentary on Bevelle tries to steal the show. TO SUM UP: ♥ (Baralai/Gippal, 253 words)

I think I had a caveat with this one, which was the hardcore religious vibe that makes my brain think of Catholicism and pings me out, but even with that I really like this piece, although it feels like it wants to be a larger, an actual section from a bigger story. Mostly I like the idea of Baralai taking risks, because that's a very Baralai thing to do, and I like watching him do it especially when it involves Gippal and mantouching. ♥ (Baralai/Gippal)

I'm a sucker for not-quite-happy-endings and this hits that button hard. The idea that there would be more consequences to what happened in X-2 fascinates me, and I love the exploration here. Some of the phrasing, too, ow. Woefully cliffhangered, but not for lack of trying and nagging and pleading and wallowing and bribing, so hopefully the companion piece will follow soon. (Baralai/Gippal in my head, gen in reality)

It figures my first Final Fantasy rec features these two crazy prolific people. I have stopped reading FFX-2 fic right now because I am afraid of mad spoilers, and really, I'm too lazy to find a script to know what's going on, and I figure it's better to play the game, you know, since I bought it and all. But the premise here just sucked me in, 60 days of chastity indeed. brings her creative titles to the mix and hers always, always amuse me to no end. Her Gippal is so funny, and when I read this even though he was casual I felt serious undertones in everything he did or said. Reading Baralai here makes me realize that I'm probably setting myself up for disappointment when I play the game, after reading him in a certain way—I loved him here, all shy determination to do what's right, even with his guilt in the background. These are just a series of back-and-forth drabbles, but they're really light-hearted with sharp little jabs of angst and cute and the authors pull them off amazingly well. (Baralai/Gippal)
